Efemena holds a B.S. degree in Physics and an M.S degree in Applied Geophysics from Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria. He completed a second M.S degree in Geology at the University of Toledo, Ohio in 2022. He is currently a Ph.D. student where his research focuses on investigating electrical signatures of wetlands' soils as proxies to characterize their physical and biochemical properties.

Hannah holds a bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Toledo, Ohio with experience in hydrogeology. She joined the UToledo HEG-Lab in October 2021 as a field research technician where she currently supports our wetlands characterization and monitoring and other related research.

Obinna Urom

Obinna holds a bachelors degree in Geology (Geophysics option) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria where he graduated with a first-class degree in 2018. He joined the UToledo HEG-Lab in May 2022 where he is currently working towards a master's degree in Geology with his research focus on "Time-lapse geophysical imaging of infiltration."

Ogunsola, Olawale Quadri

Graduate Student (Ph.D.), Environmental Sciences
Olawale holds a B.S. degree in in Water Resources Management and Agrometeorology from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria. He also completed the Joint Erasmus Mundus M.S program in Groundwater and Global Change at IHE, Netherland, Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal and the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany. He is currently a Ph.D. student where his research focuses on assessing subsurface hydrological response to flooding along terrestial and aquatic interfaces.

He joined the UToledo HEG-Lab in August 2023 where he is currently working towards a master's degree in Geology with his research focus on "characterizing subsurface flow in wetlands."

Valentina Ita

Graduate Student (M.S.), Geology
Valentina holds a bachelor's degree in Geology from Afe Babalola University in Nigeria, where she graduated with a second-class (honors) upper-division degree in 2019. She worked as a Consultant Geologist with AquaEarth Consulting, Nigeria for over 3 years before joining us at the UToledo HEG-Lab in August 2023. Her research is focused on assessing "potential interaction between the carbonate aquifer and an overlying sandy aquifer within the Oak Openings Region of Northwestern Ohio".
